About

Tatev is an Armenian-New Yorker, a multidisciplinary arts entrepreneur who was born in Armenia on July 7th, 1987 and moved to the U.S. in 2003. Ms. Tatev is a composer, linguist, vocalist and pianist who realizes common visions of creative minds. Her music is influenced by a broad variety of genres as much as it is from everything that is manifestation of focused energy: love, people’s dreams, scents, fables, tastes, travels, winds, languages, puzzles and simple acts that show the reciprocity and interconnection of all things.
Tatev does not categorize her views, believes and work under a particular genre, discipline, religious or political ideology. Driven by the unifying realizations from a near death experience in her youth, she is passionate about life, gaining new insights, about bringing awareness to the shared benefits of mind’s and heart’s openness, curiosity and compassion in all of us.
Her core band is based in New York City in addition to film directors, scientists and artists from all over the world with whom she collaborates on numerous projects. She is a provocateur against stagnancy, and any bias of unreasoning collectivism that unfurls from fear or the unknown.
Tatev believes in the universality of sound and its form-creating capacity to change and create new worlds! Her dream is to strengthen peoples unity and communication through music, through learning from Nature, through being present in daily acts and through celebrating our differences so we can be in tune with the higher logic of our essence upon this planet of ours.
